Who we are
CMN Ventures Inc. (“CMN Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a company incorporated in New Brunswick, Canada (Business Number 734631633). We build custom software, applications, and AI systems, and we operate the products listed on this website. This policy governs personal information we handle through this website and in the course of our business. Individual products we operate may have their own privacy notices, which apply in addition to this one.
The law we follow
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. Where we serve individuals in other jurisdictions, we make reasonable efforts to honour the privacy rights that apply to them.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Information you give us, your name, email address, company, and the details you include when you contact us, book a discovery call, subscribe to our blog, or engage us for work.
- Customer portal information, if you have a client account, the credentials and account details needed to give you secure access to your projects.
- Usage and device information, basic analytics such as pages visited, referring links, approximate region, browser, and device type, collected to understand and improve the site.
- Communications, records of correspondence so we can respond to and follow up on your requests.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request;
- Deliver, maintain, and support projects and customer accounts;
- Send you communications you've asked for, such as blog updates (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and products; and
- Meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to those described here without your consent.
Consent
By providing us with personal information, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of it as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain services.
Service providers and disclosure
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, for example, with trusted service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, or provide analytics on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us. Some of them may store or process data outside Canada, in which case the information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect and retain in the first place.
How long we keep it
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain business and client records, and to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses a small number of cookies and privacy-conscious analytics to understand how the site is used and to keep it working properly. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling them may affect how parts of the site function.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Withdraw consent or ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it; and
- Ask questions or raise a concern about how we handle your information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and, in most cases, within 30 days.
