With user consent, anonymized grab data contributes to a Canada-wide dataset on civilian fire rescues, helping build better tactics, training, and outcomes for fire services across the country. The problem nobody was tracking
Firefighters and first responders are exposed to carcinogens, trauma, and hazardous materials on every shift. The science connecting these exposures to long-term health outcomes is growing. The documentation to support a claim, a treatment decision, or a research study? Almost entirely absent. BackStep was built because someone needed to start keeping the record.
