Canada finally has a neighbourhood watch app.

Crime is rising in communities across Canada. Police resources are stretched. Response times are increasing. And the tools that millions of Americans rely on to stay safe and informed simply do not exist here. Canadians are left relying on Facebook groups and word of mouth to find out about the break-in two streets over, the suspicious vehicle circling the block, or the attempted theft at a neighbour's home. For seniors living alone, for vulnerable residents, and for families in communities large and small, that gap is not just an inconvenience. It is a safety issue.

Every report in Safe Neighbours is posted completely anonymously. No user profiles, no social feeds, no way to identify who submitted a report. You report what you saw, a suspicious person, a vehicle break-in, a fire, a safety hazard, and that report goes directly to the neighbours around you in real time. No account required. No personal information collected. Safe Neighbours is a safety tool, not a social network.

Every report contributes to a live heatmap of crime and suspicious activity in your area. Filter by incident type. Set your own radius. See exactly where incidents are clustering. And because heatmaps build over time, residents can look back at months of data to identify patterns, track whether an area is improving or deteriorating, and make informed decisions about their safety. This is the kind of visibility that neighbourhood watch programs have always tried to create, now available to every Canadian with a phone.

Safe Neighbours is developed by CMN Ventures in New Brunswick and built to serve every Canadian community, not just the major metros. The communities that have been left behind by apps that only serve Toronto or that are unavailable in Canada entirely are exactly who Safe Neighbours was built for. Families. Seniors. Every neighbourhood that deserves to know what is happening on its streets.
